Getting to Marseille Provence by train

Via Saint Charles Station
TGV high-speed train : Marseille/Paris : 3 hrs - Marseille/Barcelona : 4¼ hrs -Marseille/Brussels : 5½ hrs
Eurostar : Marseille/London : 7½ hrs (one change), 1 to 5 trains per week depending on the season.
17 TGV Méditerranée trains between Paris and Marseille each day.

Léon Gourret Pier - MPCT

The entrance to the Port of Marseille is located close to exit 5 of the A55 motorway (signposted Porte 4 - La Calade - L’Estaque).

Once through the port checkpoint, signposts will show at which quays the ships are berthed.
If you are being dropped off, you may use the drop-off zone in front of the Cruise Terminal.

Otherwise, you can park your car in the secure car park located close by on Léon Gourret Pier.

J4 - La Joliette

The Joliette Dock, or “J4” is located on the Quai de la Joliette in the heart of the Euroméditerranée Zone, just across from the Cathédrale de la Major.

Access is via exit 4 of the A55 motorway (signposted La Joliette / Les Arnavaux / Arenc / Les Ports). Follow the signposts for Vieux Port / Fort St Jean.

A car park is located right next to the ship, under the Esplanade Robert Laffont.

Arriving in Marseille

When arriving by flight or train

Transfer organized by Cruise company :
Some cruise companies provide shuttle services from Marseille Provence Airport or Saint Charles Railway Station to the docks (please contact your travel agency).

Taxi transportation :
Taxis are the quickest and easiest way of getting to the docks. There are taxi stands at Marseille Provence Airport (approximately €40) and Saint Charles Railway Station (approximately €20).

Public transportation :

There is no direct service between Marseille Provence Airport and the docks.
Marseille Provence Airport provides shuttle services Monday through Sunday between the airport terminals and Saint Charles Rail Station. The shuttle buses leave every 15 minutes from the main MP1 Terminal, between arrival halls 4 and 1.
Tickets : €8.20 / person one-way, €13.10 / person round-trip.

There is no direct public transport service between Saint-Charles Railway Station and the docks. We advise you to use a combination of RTM (Marseille Transportation Authority) services from Saint Charles Railway Station.

MPCT
Take the métro line 2 direction Bougainville and get off at La Joliette. Once outside the métro station, take bus no.35T on the Place de la Joliette (the large square) and go directly to the Door 4.

If you are arriving by car

MPCT
To access the cruise terminals located on the Môle Léon Gourret (Léon Gourret Pier), leave the A55 motorway at exit 5 (“Porte 4 – La Calade – L’Estaque”). Once through the port checkpoint, signposts will direct you to the appropriate pier.

JOLIETTE
Car park on the Esplanade Robert Laffont. Access via Boulevard du Littoral.

Parking and luggage

Marseille Provence Cruise Terminal (MPCT) Car Park

The MPCT has a large and secure car park located close to the Cruise Terminal on the Léon Gourret Pier.

Parking rates :
Free for the first 40 minutes; €14 maximum charge for each 24-hour period.
Special rate of €140 for 10-15 days (inc. tax). Payment by credit/debit card or cash.
One car per cruise booking. Parking spaces are guaranteed, no need to reserve.

Luggage

Luggage lockers are available at Saint-Charles Railway Station, platform A.
Opening times : Monday-Sunday, 8:15am-9pm.
